Julie Tesolin

Yoga Teacher
 
Julie has always expressed a passion for dance and movement in life. She was first introduced to Yoga and Nia during her College Theatre Arts Program and felt transformed by the holistic effects on her mind, body and spirit. Julie is an E-RYT500 Yoga Teacher and Certified Nia Technique Instructor. She has also completed her East to West Pilates Mat Certificate Course and Prenatal and Therapeutic Yoga Training. She teaches Hatha and Vinyasa yoga styles in both hot and regular temperature studios. Julie has enjoyed yoga studies in India and North America. In India she enjoyed exploring the historical roots of yoga, philosophy and meditation and continues to expand her understanding of the ancient practice.

  • Hatha L1 (Earth Room)
  • A yoga class that concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. This intelligent practice focuses on the mind-body connection.

    This class is geared towards those who are newer to yoga or those who want to move at a slower pace.

  • Foundations of Yoga
  • Never practiced yoga before? This 4 week workshop series is designed specifically for the absolute beginner or anyone wanting a step-by-step review of the basics! In just 4 short weeks, you will walk away with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of yoga, breathing, and alignment in yoga poses.
     
    We will meet once a week for 1.5 hours for 4 weeks.
     
    Upon completion you will have enough knowledge to be comfortable walking into drop-in Level 1 or Level 1-2 yoga classes.  You will also receive gifts to help you on your yoga journey!
     
    Fee: $80 + HST (community members receive 10% off)

  • Hot Flow L1-2 (Fire Room)
  • A series of poses linked together with your breath. This class is faster paced than the intro to hot yoga classes. The teacher prepares a unique hot class so every class is different as you train the body in new ways and learn new aspects about yourself.

  • Hatha L1-2 (Earth Room)
  • A yoga class that concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. This intelligent practice focuses on the mind-body connection.

  • Chakras & Yoga: A Match Made in Heaven!
  • You've heard about them, you've seen pictures, you have probably felt them. But just what are your chakras? Where are and they and what do they mean for you in your yoga practise?

    Healthy Chakras are ideal and chances are most of our chakras are doing pretty well most of the time. Sometimes Chakras can reflect imbalance, or disease in the body, mind, spirit.

    We will focus on bringing each chakra into balance, creating flow with specific yoga postures and Prana.
